'Cats continue road trip at Idaho Saturday afternoon

Weber State and Idaho tipoff at 3 p.m. Mountain time in Moscow. Game televised on ESPN+.
• Saturday is the first day of March but Weber State started the madness a little early. The Wildcats won on an epic buzzer beater tip-in Thursday night and now open the month of March with their final regular season road game of the year Saturday afternoon at the University of Idaho.
• The Wildcats and Vandals will tipoff at 2:00 p.m. PT (3 MT) on Saturday afternoon from ICCU Arena in Moscow, Idaho. The game will be televised on ESPN+ and the ESPN app.
The Weber State radio broadcast will be on 103.1 FM "The Wave" with Carl Arky on the call.

• Weber State is 11-19 overall and 5-11 in conference play with two conference games remaining before the Big Sky Tournament. The Wildcats are coming off a 66-64 win at Eastern Washington on Thursday night, capped by a buzzer beating tip-in by Alex Tew. It was WSU's first time winning back-to-back games in Big Sky play. The Wildcats can still finish anywhere from sixth to tenth in the league standings with two games remaining.
Idaho is 12-17 overall and 7-9 in the Big Sky, currently tied for fifth in the standings.
• Alex Tew had a career night in leading Weber State to Thursday's win. Not only did he make the game-winning tip-in at the buzzer, he also tied his career-high with 16 points. Tew was 5 of 6 from the field and a perfect 6 of 6 from the free throw line. It was his fourth time this season scoring in double figures. He also had four rebounds, three steals, and two assists in the win. He has recorded seven steals in the last two games.
Thursday night also marked a milestone as Tew played in his 123rd career game at Weber State. He now ranked in a tie for 10th in Weber State history in career games played with 123.
• Weber State senior Blaise Threatt snapped his streak of six straight games scoring 20 or more points as he finished with 14 points in Thursday's win. Threatt led the Wildcats with seven assists and five rebounds and also had two steals.
He has scored in double figures in all 28 games and dating back to last year has scored in double figures in 30 straight games, the fifth longest active streak in the country. In the month of February, Threatt averaged 23.5 points per game and his 188 points was the fourth most of any player in the country during the month.
In Big Sky play, Threatt is averaging 21.4 points, 6.1 rebounds, and 4.8 assists.
On the season, he leads the Wildcats in points, rebounds, assists, steals, and minutes played. He is second in the Big Sky in scoring at 19.4 points per game. He is also second in steals, fourth in assists, fourth in assist to turnover ratio, and sixth in field goal percentage.
He now has 2,082 career points in 141 career games, which included three seasons at Division II Colorado Mesa and the last two at Weber State. He ranks 23rd among active players in all divisions of the NCAA in career points, and has scored 887 points in 60 games over the last two seasons at Weber State.
• WSU freshman Trevor Hennig added 12 points in Thursday's win. He has reached double figures in the last four games and six of the last seven games.
Redshirt freshman Nemanja Sarenac scored 11 points with three 3-pointers in Thursday's win, the most points in his career against a Division I opponent.
• Idaho enters Saturday's game at 12-17 overall and 7-9 in Big Sky play, currently in a three-way tie for fifth in the league standings with two games to play. The Vandals are coming off a 69-65 home loss to Idaho State on Thursday night.
Idaho leads the Big Sky in 3-pointers per game at 9.4 per game and also ranks second in the league in free throw percentage and third in 3-pointer percentage.
• Earlier this season in Ogden, the Vandals beat the Wildcats 82-74. WSU shot 49 percent from the field but Idaho knocked down 13 3-pointers and scored 36 points in the paint. Blaise Threatt led the 'Cats with 19 points.
• Weber State holds a 65-26 series lead over Idaho. The Wildcats had won four straight and 11 of the previous 12 games before the Vandals win earlier this year in Ogden. WSU is 13-6 against Idaho since the Vandals rejoined the Big Sky in 2015.
In games in Moscow, Weber State is 27-18 all-time and has won the last two and six of the last seven games played.
• The final regular season game and final home game of the season will be on Monday night against Northern Colorado. It will also be Senior Day as Weber State honors its five seniors on this year's team.
