Women’s Tennis falls in El Paso

Las Vegas, Nevada — The Weber State women's tennis team opened their weekend road trip with a 4-0 loss to the UTEP Miners.
Alicia Morales and Sydney Schnell won their doubles match on Court #2 6-3. After splitting the first two matches it came down to Court #3 to determine the winner of the doubles team point. The duo of Cindy Li/Savannah Johnson would go on to lose the match 6-4 as UTEP took a 1-0 lead going into singles play.
The Wildcats were swept in singles play leading to the 4-0 final result. As the two teams were playing to clinch, the singles matches of Courts #3, 4 and 5 went unfinished.
The 'Cats are back in action on February 7th at noon when they will take on the New Mexico State Aggies in Las Cruces, New Mexico. The Aggies come into the match with a record of 3-3. The match against the Wildcats will be the Aggies' third match in two days as they play a doubleheader on February 6th.
