Women’s Tennis drops match to Bengals

Ogden, UT — The Idaho State Bengals defeated the Weber State women's tennis team on Saturday, dropping the match 4-3.
The Wildcats clinched the doubles point as they won matches in positions #1 and #3. Jessica Hill and Sydney Schnell won their doubles match 6-4 in the No. 1 slot and the duo of Aleks Bozinovska and Alicia Morales clinched the doubles point with a 6-3 victory.
In singles, Jessica Hill and Alicia Morales won their respective matches to get the 'Cats to three team points on the day. Hill took her match 6-4, 7-5 and Morales won hers 6-2, 3-6, 7-6 (7-5). Savannah Jonhson pushed her match to the limit ultimately falling in the third set 1-6, 6-2, 2-6. The Bengals took four of the six singles matches to clinch the match 4-3.
The Wildcats will head north to Moscow, Idaho to take on the Vandals on Friday, March 14th. The Vandals come into the match with a 9-2 mark and winners of seven matches in a row. The Wildcats will continue to search for their first victory of the season against the red-hot Vandals. The match will begin at 11:00 a.m. at the P1FCU Kibbie Dome.
