'Cats celebrate senior day with a strong team performance

The 'Cats wrapped up the first half of the Weber State Spring Classic with strong performances, senior recognitions and a retirement recognition for head coach  Paul Pilkington on April 11.

Aimee Chambers-Lenthe, Trisha Thompson Davis, Makayla Oliver, Laurie Murphy, Kapua Pulotu and Jasmine Devers were recognized as seniors. 

Saga Hagelin recorded a first place finish in the mile run with a time of 4:52.48, Audrey Camp Cazier finished in second place at 5:01.42, Hailey Low finished in fifth at 5:12.59, Courtney Earl finished in sixth at 5:12.64 and Thompson Davis finished at 5:13.83 in seventh place.

Makayla Oliver recorded a first place finish in the long jump with a mark of 19-5.0  and is now fifth on the all time list and Abby Titus finished in eighth at 16-10.25. 

Oliver, Devers, Walz and Eliza Smith finished in third for the 4x100 relay with a time of 46.12 and are fifth on the all-time list. 

Devers led the squad with a second place finish in the 100 meter dash with a time of 12.12, Payge Walz finished in third at 12.22 and Angelyca Chapman ran unattached with a tenth place finish at 12.45. 

Chambers-Lenthe recorded a third place finish in the high jump with a mark of 5-6.5, Stacia Barker finished in seventh place at 5-0.75 and Titus finished at 4-10.75. 

Pulotu finished second in the discus with a mark of 167-3.75, Rachel Robert recorded a seventh place finish at 142-9.0, Shannan Fonua finished at 133-7.25, Bailey Tovey finished with a mark of 130-10.5 and Daphne Scriven recorded a mark of 120-3.25

Walz recorded a fourth place finish in the 100 meter hurdles with a time of 14.06, Smith finished in sixth at 14.22 and Emily Gwilliam finished at 14.86. 

Chapman recorded a fifth place finish in the 400 meter dash at 56.36, Charlotte Wilkinson recorded a time of 58.00 and Hannah Bailey finished at 59.38.

Brooklyn Dayley finished fifth in the 3000 meter steeplechase with a time of 12:03.88.

Fonua finished eighth in the hammer throw with a mark of 160-11.5, Tovey finished with a mark of 133-8.0, Haley Hollins finished at 131-5.35, Teisa Halaufia finished with a mark of 129-7.5 and Scriven finished with a mark of 127-0.5.
