Women's Track and Field competes at Wolf Pack Classic

The Weber State women's track and field team competed at the Wolf Pack Classic in Reno, Nevada.Â
"We had a strong showing in Reno this weekend with several impressive performances and all-time marks," Head Coach Lindsey Anderson said.Â

The Wildcats placed 1-4 in the Weight Throw led by Shannan Fonua with a mark of 59'-2.75. She set the meet and facility record to remain undefeated on the season. Alyssa Hansen at 58'-8.00, Teisa Halaufia at 56'-675 and Mander at 55'-7.00 rounded out the top 4 in the weight throw.
Elin Hagelin finished 2nd in the 3,000 meter race with a time of 10:26.34. Bailey Tovey finished 2nd with a personal record in the shot put at 46'-6.25.
The 4x400 team of Angelyca Chapman, Abby Egbert, Abby Beus Egbert and Lucy Harris ran the fastest time in over 10 years with a time of 3:47.66 to place 5th.Â
"It was fun to see Angelyca break into the all-time list in the 200m and improve to 3rd all-time in the 400m. Our 4x400 team also ran a very impressive race! Our throwers continue their stellar season," Anderson said. "We've still got work to do, but we are pleased with the progress we're seeing so far from many different areas."
Weber State will split squad at the Mountain State Games in Pocatello, Idaho and the Husky Classic in Seattle, Washington February 13-14.Â
The Big Sky Championships will then take place February 26-28 in Pocatello, Idaho.Â
