Saga Hagelin, Kapua Pulotu, Laurie Murphy, and Miley Richards all qualified for the NCAA First Round meet.

Weber State's top finisher in the meet was junior Saga Hagelin, who finished 16th in the 3,000-meter steeplechase. Hagelin posted a time of 10:09.91 to finish 16th just outside the top 12, which advanced to the NCAA Championships.

Her time was just off her seasonal best time of 10:09.79, which she set earlier this season. Hagelin, a native of Sweden, finished fifth in the steeplechase at the Big Sky Championships. It was her second-straight year competing at the first round meet.

Senior Kapua Pulotu finished her memorable Wildcat career by finishing 28th in the discus at the regional meet. She posted a seasonal best mark of 171-03 to finish 28th.

Earlier this season, Pulotu repeated as Big Sky Champion in the discus. She is also WSU's career record holder in the event with a mark of 171-11, which she set in 2024. It was her second-straight year competing at the first round meet.

Senior Laurie Murphy finished 39th overall in the 10,000 meters on Thursday night. She ran a time of 36:23.77 in the event, her first time in the NCAA First Round meet. Earlier this season, Murphy posted a career-best time of 34:16.22 to qualify. That time ranks as the eighth-fastest in Weber State history.

Miley Richards competed in the javelin and finished 41st in her first appearance in the NCAA West First Round meet. She posted a mark of 141-08 in the event to finish 41st.

Earlier this season, Richards posted a career-best mark of 154-02 to qualify for the first round meet. That ranks as the seventh-best mark in Weber State history. Richards also finished sixth in the javelin at the Big Sky Championships.
