Women’s Tennis falls on Day 2 of UNLV Tournament

Las Vegas, NV — The Weber State Wildcats women's tennis team fell to the Youngstown State Penguins 4-3 on Day 2 of the UNLV Tournament.
In doubles, the Wildcats fell 6-2 on both Courts #1 and #3 to give the Penguins the doubles point heading into singles play. Savannah Johnson and Nataly Valdivia Rojas went unfinished on Court #2 as a result.
In singles, Savannah Johnson, Jessica Hill, and Aleks Bozinovska all took their matches in straight sets. Johnson defeated her opponent on Court #6 6-1, 6-3, and Hill defeated her opponent in position #1 6-3, 7-5. Bozinovska won her match 7-6, 6-3 to get the Wildcats to their 3 team points on the day.
The 'Cats will close out the UNLV Tournament tomorrow morning when they take on the Utah Tech Trailblazers for the second time this season. When the two squads matched up in Ogden, the Trailblazers took it 5-2. It was Utah Tech's lone win on the season as they enter Sunday with a 1-5 mark.
