Wildcats Show Pack Strength at Idaho State Invitational

Four Wildcats finish within 26 seconds as Weber State puts five runners inside the top 23

The Weber State men's cross country team continued its 2026 season Friday at the Idaho State Invitational in Pocatello, putting together another strong pack performance.

Carson Day led the Wildcats, finishing 11th with a time of 25:36 and an average mile pace of 5:09.

Colby Jenks followed closely behind, placing 12th in 25:44 with a 5:11 average mile. Tanner Rogers added a 14th-place finish at 25:51, averaging a 5:12 mile, while Caden Timm finished 17th in 26:02 with a 5:14 average mile.

Logan Marek rounded out Weber State's top five, finishing 23rd with a time of 26:32 and an average mile pace of 5:20.

The Wildcats' top four runners finished within 26 seconds of one another, continuing a theme of pack running that has been evident throughout the early portion of the season.

Weber State opened the 2026 season with a second-place finish at the Utah State Alumni Challenge before competing at the Indiana State John McNichols Invitational. The Wildcats continued to build their depth and consistency Friday in Pocatello.

Weber State will return to competition Oct. 9 at the Bill Dellinger Invitational and CSI Invitational.
