Wildcats beat Bobcats in overtime

Trevor Hennig scored 19 points to lead five Wildcats in double figures.
OGDEN - Weber State had five players in double figures as the Wildcats picked up an 82-79 overtime win over Montana State on Thursday night at the Dee Events Center.Â
The game saw 19 lead changes and 13 ties. MSU had a 10-0 run in the first half and led 25-17, but the 'Cats cut the lead to 29-28 at halftime.Â
Weber State led by as many as six points midway through the second half, and it was back and forth the rest of the way. Â
WSU went up by four points with five minutes to play, but the Bobcats had a 7-2 run and led by one point with 2:36 to play.Â
The Bobcats led by three points with 2:51 to play in overtime when the Wildcats had a 7-0 run and led 78-74 with 1:20 to play. WSU led 80-76 with 25 seconds remaining and held on for the win.Â
Trevor Hennig tied his season-high against a Division I team as he scored 19 points, the most points he has scored in a Big Sky game this season. He was 7 of 13 from the field and also pulled down seven rebounds.Â
Senior Nigel Burris scored 15 points and had seven rebounds and three steals.Â
Tijan Saine Jr. had 14 points with five assists and scored eight of WSU's 15 points in overtime.Â
Viljami Vartiainen added 12 points with two 3-pointers, and Edwin Suarez Jr. had 10 points and seven rebounds off the bench.Â
Montana State shot 50 percent from the field with seven 3-pointers, and Weber State shot 45 percent with four 3-pointers. The Wildcats won the rebounding margin 42-33 and forced 12 MSU turnovers.Â
Weber State is now 8-7 in Big Sky play with three conference games remaining.Â
The Wildcats will host Montana on Saturday at 7:30 p.m. in the final home game of the season.Â
