Weber State hosts Montana in final home game Saturday

The Wildcats and Grizzlies will tipoff at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday.
• After an exciting overtime win on Thursday night, Weber State will play its final home game of the season when the Wildcats host longtime rival Montana on Saturday night.
• The Wildcats and Grizzlies will tipoff at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday at the Dee Events Center. The game will be streamed on ESPN+ and the ESPN app with Ethan Jordan and former WSU standout and Big Sky MVP David Patten on the call. WSU radio broadcast with Carl Arky will be on 103.1 FM "The Coast".
• Weber State is coming off an 82-79 overtime win over Montana State on Thursday night. The back and forth game saw 19 lead changes and the Wildcats had five players reach double figures in the win.
• The Wildcats are 14-14 overall and 8-7 in Big Sky play with three conference games remaining. Weber State is currently in fifth in the league standings.
Montana is 8-6 and tied for third after a loss at Idaho State on Thursday.
The matchup will feature the top two individual scorers in Big Sky Conference games.
• Sophomore Trevor Hennig had one of his best nights as a Wildcat on Thursday as he led Weber State with 19 points, which tied his season-high against a Division I opponent. It was also the most points he's had against a Big Sky team this season. Hennig was 7 of 13 from the field and also tied his career-high with seven rebounds. He previously missed four of the last five games.
It was his 11th game this season reaching double figures. On the year, Hennig is averaging 9.9 points per game. He has played in 56 games with the Wildcats over the last two seasons.
• Saturday Weber State will honor its only senior on this year's roster in Nigel Burris. Burris, a former Big Sky Freshman of the Year at Idaho, also played one season at Utah State before playing the last two years at Weber State.
He scored 15 points, pulled down seven rebounds, and had three steals in Thursday night's win. He has scored in double figures 15 times this season and is averaging 10.4 points per game. He is also shooting 52.9 percent from the field.
Burris has played in 61 games in two seasons with the Wildcats and has scored 495 points. He has played in 113 career games and has 798 career points.
• Weber State guard Tijan Saine Jr.'s steak of seven straight games scoring 20 or more points came to an end on Thursday but he led the Wildcats to the win in overtime. He finished the night with 14 points and had five assists and scored eight of WSU's 15 points in overtime.
Saine continues to lead the Big Sky in scoring at 21.3 points per game. He has led WSU in scoring in 12 of the 15 conference games. He is also second in the conference and 26th in the nation in free throw percentage at 89.7 percent, which is currently the third best in WSU single-season history. He is shooting 92.2 percent in conference games. Saine has made 62 of his last 64 free throw attempts.
• Weber State leads the Big Sky in rebounding at 37.5 per game and Montana is first the conference and 22nd in the nation in field goal percentage at 49.5 percent. They are also 14th in the country in defensive rebounds per game.
• The Big Sky preseason favorite Montana Grizzlies enter Saturday's game at 14-13 overall and are tied for third in the Big Sky at 8-6.
Money Williams, the Big Sky Preseason MVP, leads the Big Sky in scoring at 19.6 per game and is second to WSU's Tijan Saine in conference games scoring at 20.9.
• Montana beat the Wildcats 81-65 on January 22 in Missoula. The Wildcats led by as many as 11 points in the first half and held a seven point lead at halftime but the Grizzlies shot 63 percent from the field in the second half and scored 45 points in the half to win the game. WSU shot 23 percent in the second half with just one 3-pointer.
• Weber State has played Montana more than any opponent in its history and this will be the 146th all-time meeting between the two schools with Weber State holding a 76-69 series lead.
Montana has won the last four and five of the last six games against the Wildcats.
In games in Ogden, Weber State is 48-19 all-time but the Grizzlies two of the last three games at the Dee Events Center.
