Gelaun had a strong freshman season for the Wildcats...Was initially planned to red-shirt the season and missed the first six games but when injuries occurred the red-shirt was pulled and he played in the final 26 games of the season for the Wildcats...Was one of the top freshman in the Big Sky...Averaged 5.6 points and 2.1 rebounds per game...Scored eight points and pulled down six rebounds in his first collegiate game in December at BYU...Scored in double figures four times during the season and finished the season with a career-high 19 points in WSU’s final game of the year at Loyola Marymount in the Collegeinsider.com Tournament...Also scored 15 points in helping WSU defeat Portland State in the Big Sky Tournament semifinals and had 15 at Northern Colorado and 11 at home against Northern Colorado...Had a season-high seven rebounds in the final game at Loyola Marymount...Shot 40 percent from the field and shot 31 percent from three-point range...Was 23-28 from the free throw line for 82.1 percent...Also had 28 assists and 12 steals on the season...Had a career-high five assists in the Sears Bracketbusters win over UT Arlington on Feb. 18.

Centennial High School
Was heavily recruited out of high school and was one of the top high school players in the Los Angeles area...Played at Centennial High School for Coach Josh Giles...As a junior he averaged 18.4 points and 2.3 rebounds per game and helped lead his team to the Big 8 championships and a third place finish at the Max Preps Torrey Pines Classic in San Diego...Was named 2nd Team All-CIF and All-Big 8, and was a First Team All-Big 8 Academic Team member...As a senior he averaged 18.7 points and 4.3 rebounds per game while leading Centennial to a 30-5 overall record and a 14-0 league record.
