Derek Broderick

The 2023-24 season was the second season for Derek Broderick as the Director of Video & Analytics with the Weber State men’s basketball program. He came to Weber State in June 2022 after spending six seasons with the University of Utah men’s basketball team.
Broderick oversees creating and breaking down of video edits for coaches, assisting in scouting, and bringing an analytical and statistical advantage to the team.
Broderick brings a wealth of professional experience to the program, having served as a Student Assistant at Utah. He worked closely with the coaches in assisting with film and providing statistical reports that provided analytical advantages. He helped the Utes reach the second round of the NCAA tournament as well as the NIT runner-up during his time.
Broderick grew up in Huntsville Utah. He earned his Bachelor’s degree in Economics and completed his Master’s degree in Information Systems from the University of Utah in 2022. Broderick served a mission for the LDS Church from 2013-2015 to Manila, Philippines, and has volunteered in three different countries in Africa!
