Competed in five meets for the Wildcats including the Big Sky Championships...Earned a 10th place finish in the pole vault with a mark of 14-02.5...Had three top five finishes...Had a seasonal best mark of 15-03.00 at the Jacksons Invitational.
2018 Outdoor
Competed in pole vault at the Big Sky Championships in Moscow, Idaho...Finished 11th in the event at the conference meet with a mark of 14-01.75...Had a seasonal best mark of 15-02.75 in the pole vault at the Bryan Clay Invitational...Earned Big Sky Academic All-Conference honors in Criminal Justice.
2018 Indoor
Competed in the pole vault at the Big Sky Championships in Flagstaff, Arizona...Finished sixth in the event with a mark of 15-04.50...Had a career best mark of 15-05 three times during the season...That mark ranks in a tie for the ninth best in Weber State indoor history...Won the title in the pole vault at the Mountain State Games and finished second at the Snake River Open and third at the Weber State Winter Open.
Finished 9th at the Big Sky Championships with a season best mark of 15'00.25. Also finished 2nd place at the Utah/Weber State Spring Classic and 3rd place at the UVU Invitational. Earned Big Sky Academic All-Conference Honors.
2017 Indoor
Finished 5th at the Big Sky Championships with a vault of 15'00. Had his best performance of the year at the Mountain States Games with a jump of 15'05.50 for 4th place. Earned Big Sky Academic All-Conference Honors.
Prep Career
Nevada State Champion in the Pole Vault in both 2012 and 2014. Finished his high school career with a PR of 15'00 at the state championships. Finished 1st or 2nd at every meet during his senior year.
Personal
Born on July 11. Married to Alyisa (Waite) Shelley, a member of the WSU women's track & field team. Served an LDS mission to Frankfurt, Germany. Majoring in Criminal Justice.
