OUTLOOK: Will be one of the team leaders as a regular in the starting lineup for the WIldcats at either the center or holding midfielder position... Has recorded seven career points on three goals and one assist.

As a Junior in 2007: Shaylee started all 18 matches for the Wildcats and matched her career-high with four points... Scored a single goal and set a career-high with two assists... Her lone goal came in the 90th minute as the game-tying goal in WSU’s 2-2 draw with South Dakota State on Sep. 21. The score was the second-straight year that Shaylee forced a 2-2 tie with SDSU on a late goal... Her assists came in a 2-0 win over Northern Arizona and on the game-winning goal in the 109th minute of a 1-0 double-overtime win against Eastern Washington...

As a Sophomore in 2006: Shaylee emerged as a starter in 2006, starting all 19 games for the Wildcats after playing off the bench as a freshman in 2005... Posted season career-highs in points (4), goals (2), shots (30), shots on-goal (13), game-winning goals (1) and games played and games started (19)... Recorded single-match career-high’s in shots (4 vs. North Dakota State on Sep. 10) and shots on-goal (3 vs. Portland State on Oct. 07)... Was a clutch scorer for the Wildcats as both of her goals came in the final two minutes of play... Tallied her first career game-winning goal on Oct. 19 with a strike in the 89th minute for a 1-0 victory over Eastern Washington... Her other goal was a game-tying tally in the 88th minute to earn a 2-2 draw with South Dakota State on Sep. 8.

As a Freshman in 2005:
Shaylee played in 17 games off the bench for the Wildcats last year... Tallied three points on one goal and one assist. Her lone goal came in a 5-2 loss to Arizona State in Tempe, Ariz. on Aug. 28. Her single assist was on Hayley McCoy’s game-winning goal in a 1-0 win over Utah State on Oct. 1 in Ogden. ... Put three of her six shots attempted on-goal for a shots on-goal percentage of .500... Her biggest offensive contribution of the year came in the first round of the NCAA College Cup as Weber State upset Brigham Young in a shootout to advance in the tournament. After not seeing any playing time in 120 minutes of regulation and overtime play, Shaylee came off the bench to convert on the second of five WSU shots in the shootout. WSU went on to outshoot the Cougars 4-3 in the penalty kicks situation... Was named to the Big Sky Conference All-Academic Team.

During her Prep career:
Shaylee is a 2005 graduate of Ogden High School in Ogden, Utah, where she was a four-year starter and letterwinner in soccer... Also lettered four times in cross country, three times in basketball and three times in track... Her Ogden High School soccer team won the Region 11 championship three straight years (2002-2004) and the 3A State championship in 2001... Played on the 1999 Rebels club team that won the State Cup championship... Earned All-Area MVP honors by the Standard Examiner in both 2003 and 2004... Was a four-time All-State and All-Region selection in soccer... Was named All-State in cross country in 2003, and an All-Region and All-State selection in basketball in 2004... Named Academic All-State in 2004... Was a Wendy’s High School Heisman state finalist... Scored 52 points on 21 goals and 10 assists her senior season... Also scored 21 goals as a junior, giving her 42 goals her final two years and bringing her career total to 67 goals... The Tigers were unbeaten against league opponents (29-0-1) over her final three years, including a 10-0-0 record her senior season.

Shaylee is the daughter of Scott and Lisa Stegen... Married her husband, Jason Hyde prior to the 2007 season... Is the youngest of three children... Has one sister, Sheila (28), and one brother, Eric (27)... Is majoring in Psychology.
