During her Junior College career: Marqi played last season at Salt Lake Community College, where she helped the Bruins to a 49-9 record... Batted .333 over 25 games with one Home Run and 15 RBI... Produced a .994 Fielding Percentage and threw out 60% on stolen base attempts.

During her High School career: Marqi is a 2008 graduate of Taylorsville High School, where she lettered five times in softball, twice in basketball and twice in volleyball... Was named her team MVP in 2005, 2006 and 2008... Led the team in batting in 2007... Was an All-Region and All-State selection in 2007 and 2008... Was also named to the All-Tournament team in 2007 and 2008... Helped lead her team to the 2007 5A State Championship... Was a USA Triple Crown All-American team member in 2007 and the Marine Corps Athlete of the Year in 2008... Won the Distinguished Athlete, Academics and Athletics, and Three Sports awards at Taylorsville in 2008.
