During her first season at Weber State, McHenry helped lead the Wildcats to a first-round Big Sky Tournament win against Portland State.
McHenry joined Weber State after spending two seasons at Westminster College working as an assistant coach with Coach Jackson. Prior to joining the staff at Westminster, the Dolores, Colorado native spent some time in her home state playing and coaching.
She played collegiate basketball at Adams State where she was a two-year starter as a guard and was one of the better scorers during her time with the Grizzlies. She then spent a season as a graduate assistant for the Adams State men’s basketball program in 2017-18, followed by a year as an assistant coach for the ASU women’s basketball team.
After her time at Adams State, she moved on to an assistant coaching role with Fort Lewis College Skyhawks from 2019-2021. She then transitioned to Utah where she first started with Coach Jackson at Westminster College in Salt Lake City. From 2021-22, McHenry worked as an assistant coach for the Griffins. Her focus was on coaching post players, recruiting, scouting and game planning, and organizing travel.
