WSU Falls to Utes 6-1

SALT LAKE CITY -- The Weber State men's tennis team fell to 1-5 on the season with a 6-1 loss to the University of Utah on Saturday night.
The Wildcats dropped two of the three doubles points and then earned a lone point in singles for the night. Henning Hipp and Nick Plum defeated Stephen Jacobs and Amit Maharaj 9-8 at No. 2 doubles, but a tight 9-7 loss at the No. 1 spot gave the point to the Utes.
In singles, Fabio Mancarella continued his hot play, defeating Miron Mann 3-6, 6-3 (10-6) at No. 2 for WSU's only point.
The Wildcats will next face Utah State in Logan on Feb. 13.
