The second half was more BYU as Weber State never got closer than 16 points the rest of the game. The Cougars led by as many as 34 points.

"Their size and length got to us and we didn't have an answer for them," said WSU head coach Randy Rahe. "BYU is a great team and really took it to us tonight."
Junior Damian Lillard, the nation's leading scorer, led the Wildcats in scoring but had a season-low 15 points. He did pull down a career-high 10 rebounds for his first career double-double.
"BYU played great defensive on us they deserve all the credit," Lillard said. "They made us do things we didn't want to do and forced us into some quick shots."
Scott Bamforth added 14 points for the Wildcats and Kyle Tresnak had 11 points and a season-high six rebounds. Freshman Gelaun Wheelwright played in his first career game for the Wildcats and finished with eight points and six rebounds.
WSU junior Frank Otis left the game early in the first half with a knee injury and did not return. His status is still uncertain.
The Wildcats, 5-2, will return to action for another in-state game this Saturday when the Wildcats host Southern Utah at 7:00 p.m. at the Dee Events Center.
