Wildcats drop error-filled game against UC Davis

HENDERSON, Nev. – The Wildcats dropped a tough, error-filled decision on Sunday afternoon, wrapping up their three-day stay in Nevada on a bit of a sour note.
The Weber State University softball team led 5-0 early, but UC Davis took advantage of a number of Wildcat miscues to rally for a 9-8 win in the finale of the Demarini Desert Classic, hosted by UNLV at Stephanie Lynn Craig Park.
Four of the Aggies' nine runs were unearned, as Weber State finished the tournament at 3-2, and fell to 7-4 overall.
The Wildcats will be back in action on Friday in Austin, Texas, as part of the Texas Invitational.
Weber State's 8 a.m. meeting with Tulsa on Friday and the Wildcats 9 a.m. meeting with the host Texas Longhorns on Sunday will be televised live via The Longhorn Network, and will be available through WatchESPN.
