Weber State totaled 520 yards of total offense, compared to 270 for Sacramento State. Clark accounted for 451 yards of total offense. He threw for 380 yards and rushed for another 71 yards and accounted for both of WSU's touchdowns. The 451 yards of total offense is the most by a Wildcat since 2007 and ranks as the 10th most in a game in WSU history.
Senior Cameron Livingston led the WSU receivers with six catches for 108 yards and junior Andrew Vollert had five catches for 101 yards. Batchelor had five catches for 80 yards and the touchdown.
Defensively, Landon Stice led the 'Cats with 12 tackles, with one tackle for loss. McKay Murphy had a sack and Jonah Williams blocked a SAC field goal attempt.
"Wins are always good and we'll take them any way we can get them but tonight's wasn't the prettiest," said WSU head coach Jay Hill. "We have a lot of things still to clean up for us to become the team I know we can be. We had some mistakes in the first half that really cost us but our defense took a big step forward tonight. A win is a win and we'll take it and move on and try to get better."
The Wildcats will open Big Sky Conference play next Saturday night when they head to UC Davis.
