Wildcat XC teams head to Logan on Friday

LOGAN, Utah – The Weber State University men's and women's cross country teams will be back in action this week at the Steve T. Reeder Memorial Race, hosted by Utah State at the Steve and Dona Reeder Cross Country Course.
The Wildcats will be one of six schools in the meet, with a strong field that includes the host Aggies, Utah, and BYU.
The women's 5K race will begin at 3 p.m., with the men's 7K race set to get underway around 3:45 p.m.
"We're excited to see some of our younger runners show some progress from earlier in the season," Weber State men's coach Corbin Talley said. "We also have some athletes coming back from injury who will have a chance to prove themselves going into our championship races."
With less than a week since the Wildcats ran at the Notre Dame Invitational, both squads plan to hold out the runners from that meet in this weekend's meet to allow for recovery time.
After this weekend's meet, Weber State will run one more non-conference race at the NCAA Pre-Nationals in Louisville, Ky., on Oct. 14.
