OGDEN – After a pair of tough 1-0 losses in the scorching desert heat of Las Vegas, the Wildcats are ready to get back on track at home.

The Weber State University women's soccer team will face North Dakota State in its 2017 home opener on Friday night. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m. at Wildcat Soccer Field.

Tickets for the Wildcats' home opener are available now at the Dee Events Center Ticket office, WeberStateSports.com, or by calling 801-626-8500, or on the day of the match at the Wildcat Soccer Field ticket booth, located inside the Wildcat Center on the northwest corner of the field.

The match will be broadcast live on Pluto TV, which is available on any device, on channel 235. Live stats will be available through WeberStateStats.com.

On Sunday, the Wildcats will travel to Phoenix, Arizona, to take on Grand Canyon in an 8 p.m. MT match against the Lopes at GCU Soccer Stadium.

Weber State (0-2-0) will be seeking its first win of the young season against the Bison (0-2-0) after a pair of late 1-0 losses during the UNLV Invitational last weekend. The Wildcats fell 1-0 to Wright State on an 83rd minute penalty kick in their season opener, and then fell 1-0 in overtime to Drake after a 96th minute set piece.

The Purple and White outshot both opponents, finishing with 21 attempts in the two matches.

The Wildcats are 1-0-1 in two previous meetings with Bison, winning 1-0 at home during their record-setting 2005 campaign, before finishing with a 0-0 draw in the following season.

North Dakota State fell 1-0 to in-state rival North Dakota in last week's season opener, before falling 3-0 to nationally-ranked Minnesota on the road on Monday.

Weber State is 2-0-0 against Grand Canyon, defeating the Lopes 1-0 on a late goal by Morgan Quarnberg in Phoenix in 2015, and then taking a 2-0 win in Ogden last season behind goals from Megan Price and Kelsi Jones.

Junior forward Madison Garlock leads the Wildcats in both shots (8) and shots on goal (2), followed by junior forward Morgan Quarnberg's four shots.

Following this weekend's matches, Weber State will take on No. 7 UCLA on Sept. 3 at 7 p.m. at Wildcat Soccer Field, the highest ranked soccer team to ever play in Ogden.
