Wildcat cross country heads to Notre Dame

SOUTH BEND, Ind. – The Wildcats are heading east.
The Weber State University men's and women's cross country teams will be back in action on Friday afternoon at the Joe Piane Notre Dame Invitational, hosted by Notre Dame at Burke Golf Course.
The Wildcat women will run in 5,000-meter Blue Race at 11 a.m. MT, while the Weber State men's squad will run in the five-mile Blue Race at 11:45 a.m. MT.
The women's race features the fastest nine teams ranked in the top 30, including the No. 1 and No. 3 teams in the nation.
The Joe Piane Invitational is in its 62nd year, with the Irish set to host 51 schools at the meet, with 42 men's teams, including four ranked teams, and 57 women's teams, seven of which are nationally-ranked.
Big Sky foes Southern Utah (men only) and Idaho State will also run in the meet.
This weekend is the Wildcats' third meet of the season, making it the official halfway point of 2017, with just two meets remaining before the Big Sky Conference Championships, which will be held at Riverside Golf Course in Ogden.
