Wildcats roll past NAU 95-55 for first Big Sky win

OGDEN - Six players scored in double figures as Weber State bounced back with a 95-55 win over Northern Arizona Thursday at the Dee Events Center for its first Big Sky win of the season.
The 40-point win is Weber State's largest margin of victory against a Big Sky team in nearly 26 years, since a 42-point win over Eastern Washington in February 1992.
The Wildcats never trailed in the win and led NAU 39-27 at halftime. Weber State started the second half on a 31-9 run over the first ten minutes to break the game open. The Wildcats led by as many as 44 points late in the game.
Weber State shot 51 percent from the field and held NAU to just 31 percent shooting the lowest percentage by a Division I team against the Wildcats this season. Weber State was 11 of 22 from 3-point range and held the Lumberjacks to 5 of 22 shooting. WSU also outrebounded NAU 43-34 and dished out 19 assists.
The Wildcats forced 13 turnovers and had 30 points off turnovers.
A season-high six Wildcats reached double figures led by sophomore guard Jerrick Harding who finished with 17 points. Ricky Nelson added a career-high 13 points with four assist and five rebounds and Zach Braxton had 12 points with five rebounds. Ryan Richardson had 11 and Jordan Dallas and Michael Kozak each added 10.
Weber State improves to 8-6 overall and 1-1 in Big Sky play. The Wildcats are also 7-1 at home this season. WSU wraps up a six-game homestand hosting Southern Utah Saturday night at the Dee Events Center.
