Wildcat cross country heads to Notre Dame Invitational

SOUTH BEND, IN - The Weber State Wildcat cross country teams are headed to South Bend, Indiana to compete in the Notre Dame Invitational this Friday, October 4th.Â
The races will be held at the University of Notre Dame Burke Golf Course. The Women's Blue Division (5,000 Meters) will begin at 1:00 pm (EDT), and the Men's Blue Division (5 miles) at 1:45 pm (EDT). Live race results will be available here, and a course map can be found here.
"We're very excited for the competition. It's a loaded field and we are ready to challenge ourselves and see if we can beat some of the ranked teams." said head men's coach Corbin Talley.Â
There will be 18 teams ranked in the top 30 on both the men and women's side in the NCAA competing, including the first and second on the women's side, and three more in the receiving votes area. Both the women and men's side will compete in the premier "Blue Race", which will include a total of 23 teams.Â
Head women's coach, Paul Pilkington, is looking forward to the competition. "This is the best field that Notre Dame has ever had for this invitational. The women are excited to race against the best teams in the country." he said.
Lexie Thompson, Abby Lawrence, Summer Harper, Isabella Williams, Bailey Roe, Laurie Murphy, Shanee Harris, and Cheyenne Leatham will be competing from the Wildcat women's team.
Jordan Cross, Tyson Green, Taylor Dillon, Dallin Leatham, Jacob Stone, Krey Ramsey, Bronson Winter, Austin Byrer, Carson Horspool, and Christian Allen will be racing on the men's side.
"I'm excited about the work we've put in the past three months, and I'm really looking forward to seeing what these guys can do. They are unified, tough, and hungry." said Talley.
