Wildcat cross country to compete in NCAA Mountain Regionals

OGDEN, UT - The Weber State men's and women's cross country teams will look to qualify for the NCAA Championships at the NCAA Mountain Region meet this Friday in Salt Lake City, Utah.
The meet will be held at the Rose Park Golf Course in Salt Lake City, Utah. The women will race at 11:00 am on a 6K course, compared to the 5K course at the Big Sky Conference Championships. A course map for the women's race is available here.
Running for the Wildcat women will be Lexi Thompson, Abby Lawrence, Cheyenne Letham, Laurie Murphy, Isabella Williams, Bailey Wall, and Shanee Harris.
The women's race features six nationally-ranked teams, four of which are in the top-ten with No. 3 BYU, No. 8 Colorado, No. 9 Utah, No. 10 New Mexico, No. 15 Air Force, and T-No. 16 Northern Arizona.
The Wildcat women are coming off a fourth-place finish at the Big Sky Championships, just four points out of second place. The women are currently ranked 10th in the Mountain Region.
The men's race begins at 12:00 pm on a 10K course, two kilometers longer than the course at the Big Sky Conference Championships. A course map for the men's race is available here.

Running on the men's side will be Taylor Dillon, Jordan Cross, Christian Allen, Dallin Leatham, Bronson Winter, Tyson Green, and Austin Byrer.
Both Wildcat squads will be competing against many fellow Big Sky schools, including No. 1 Northern Arizona, as well as No. 2 BYU, Utah, No. 3 Colorado, No. 20 Utah State, and No. 25 Colorado State.
On the men's side, Northern Arizona is the three-time reigning national champion and is ranked first nationally and in the Mountain Region.
The Wildcat men are coming off a second-place finish at the Big Sky Championships on November 2nd, finishing behind NAU. The 'Cats defeated ranked Southern Utah, who will also be racing at the meet. Currently the men are ranked eighth in the Mountain Region.
The NCAA Championships will be held on Saturday, November 23rd in Terre Haute, Indiana.
