Wildcats take on Utes at Beehive Classic Saturday

    Weber State takes on the University of Utah for the first time in eight years when the two teams meet Saturday afternoon in the Beehive Classic at the Vivint Smart Home Arena in Salt Lake City. 

Saturday's game will begin at 2 p.m. and will be televised on the Pac-12 Network and online at pac-12.com with Kate Scott and Dan Belluomini calling the action. 

WSU radio broadcast will be on 1430 KLO and kloradio.com with Steve Klauke and former WSU standout and Big Sky MVP and David Patten will call the action. Live stats available at WeberStateSports.com. 

OPENING TIP 

Weber State is 3-5 on the season and the Wildcats have won two-straight games, with a road win at Utah Valley and a home win over Westcliff last week. 

Senior Jerrick Harding averaged 28 points in WSU's two wins last week and leads the Big Sky in scoring at 20.1 points per game.  

The Utah Utes are 7-2 overall this season. 

Utah is coached by former Big Sky standout and NBA player Larry Krystkowiak who is in his ninth season at Utah.   

This will be the 41st all-time meeting between the two schools but the first game played in eight years. The Utes hold a 26-14 all-time lead over the Wildcats. 

Weber State beat Utah 80-51 in the last game played in December 2011 in Ogden, with Damian Lillard leading the Wildcats with 22 points. 

This will be the final season of the Beehive Classic. The Wildcats played BYU in 2017 and Utah State in 2018 at the Vivint Smart Home Arena.
