• Weber State will play its final non-conference game of the season when the Wildcats take on BYU on Wednesday night at the Vivint SmartHome Arena in Salt Lake City. Wednesday's game will begin at 5 p.m. and will be televised live on BYUtv and online at byutv.org. It will also be broadcast on the radio on 103.1 FM "The Wave". Live stats links at WeberStateSports.com.

• Weber State is 3-2 overall on the season. The Wildcats are coming off a split this past weekend at Portland State, winning 94-66 on Friday before losing 74-72 on Sunday afternoon. In Friday's game the Wildcats shot 48 percent from the field and knocked down 10 3-pointers. In Sunday's game, the 'Cats trailed by as many as 17 points in the second half before rallying back to take a five-point lead, before the Vikings closed out the game. Junior Zahir Porter averaged 18.5 points in the two games, including a career-high 24 points in Friday's win.

• After five games, senior Isiah Brown leads the Big Sky Conference and is 21st in the country in scoring at 21.2 points per game. Brown is also fourth in the league in assists (3.8) and steals (1.8). Senior Cody Carlson has also scored in double figures in all five games and is averaging 14.2 points per game. Carlson is also sixth in the nation in field goal percentage, shooting 77.1 percent from the field, including 5 of 6 from 3-point range this season.

• Weber State ranks 16th in the country in free throw percentage at 79.8 percent. The 'Cats are also first in the Big Sky in steals and blocks and second in field goal percentage defense and turnover margin.

• BYU is 8-2 on the season and has won three-straight and five of the last six games, including a 72-62 win at No. 18 San Diego State last Friday and an 87-71 win over Texas Southern on Monday.

• This is the 46th all-time meeting between the two schools with BYU leading 34-11. It's the third time in the last five years the teams have played at Vivint SmartHome Arena.

• The Wildcats return just four players off last year's team and have nine new players this season, including five Division I transfers. All 13 of WSU's scholarship players come from a different state or country.

• Weber State is in a stretch of five-straight games away from home, with four as true road games. After Wednesday the Wildcats will return to Big Sky play on Dec. 31 at Idaho State, before returning home to host the Bengals on Jan. 2 in the first of four-straight home games.
