• After picking up a couple of non-conference wins over the weekend, Weber State finally returns to Big Sky Conference action with two games against Southern Utah this week. The Wildcats will host the Thunderbirds on Thursday at 7 p.m. at the Dee Events Center. At this time, no spectators are allowed but both games will be televised throughout the state of Utah on KJZZ TV. It will also be streamed online on Pluto TV 1054 and WatchBigSky.com and on the radio on 103.1 FM "The Wave". The two teams will meet Saturday at 12 p.m. in Cedar City.

• Weber State is 6-3 overall on the season and 1-1 in Big Sky play. The Wildcats returned to action with two games last week, beating Yellowstone Christian College 124-44 and Tarleton State 94-79. WSU has played the fewest games of any team in the Big Sky. The 'Cats have had six games canceled this season due to COVID-19 protocol but have added four non-conference games.

• In the two games last week, Weber State made 36 3-pointers, including a school record 22 in Saturday's win over Yellowstone Christian. The Wildcats are sixth in the nation in 3-point field goal percentage at 41.6 percent. WSU also ranks 13th in the country in scoring offense at 85 points per game, 16th nationally in scoring margin, 19th in free throw percentage and 21st in field goal percentage. WSU is led by senior Isiah Brown who is third in the Big Sky in scoring at 17.8 points per game. Dillon Jones leads the league in steals at 2.0 and Michal Kozak is first in blocks at 1.3.

• Southern Utah is 10-2 overall and 5-1 in Big Sky play and is coming off a split weekend against Eastern Washington last week. SUU lost the season opener at LMU, then won nine-straight games before spliting with the Eagles last weekend. The Thunderbirds are 16th in the nation in scoring offense at 83.9 points per game. SUU is also 20th in the country in rebounding margin at +8.7.

• This week's matchup features two of the top offensive teams in the Big Sky. Both teams are in the top 16 nationally in scoring and are the top two scoring teams in the conference. Both are also in the top three in the league in scoring margin, field goal percentage, assists and 3-pointers per game.

• Weber State holds a 34-10 all-time series lead over Southern Utah. The Wildcats won two last year and have won eight of the last 10 and 17 of the last 21 against SUU. WSU is 22-4 against the Thunderbirds in Ogden and leads 11-6 in Cedar City.

• After this weekend, the Wildcats will play two games at Idaho next weekend.
