Wildcat men's cross country takes 16th at NCAA Pre Nationals

Christian Allen leads Weber State with a 32nd place individual finish

The Weber State men's cross country team finished 16th at the NCAA Pre National meet Friday morning in Tallahassee, Florida. It was WSU's final meet before the Big Sky Championships. The meet was held at the Apalachee Regional Park, hosted by Florida State, the same course where the NCAA Championships will be in November. 

The Wildcats totaled 454 points to finish 16th, in a meet that included many nationally ranked teams, including Weber State. The Wildcats were ranked 25th in the country entering the meet. 

Once again, Weber State was led by Christian Allen who was WSU's top finisher, finishing 32nd overall. Allen posted a time of 23:30.4 on the 8K course to finish 32nd. 

Dallin Leatham was second at 24:03.6, taking 74th place and Jacob Stone was 104th with a time of 24:17.0. Freshman Logan Anderson was 115th at 24:19.9 and Taylor Dillon finished 132nd with a time of 24:28.5. 

Weber State will next compete at the Big Sky Championships, October 29 in Portland, Oregon. The Wildcats will also compete at the NCAA Mountain Region meet on November 12 in Provo.
