Weber State women's cross country takes second at Big Sky Championships

Billie Hatch finished second with Summer Allen third and Rylie Lusk ninth to earn All-Big Sky honors.
The Weber State women's cross country team claimed second place at the 2021 Big Sky Championships. The Wildcats totaled 51 points to take second with three athletes earning All-Big Sky honors at the meet held at the Meriwether Golf Club in Hillsboro, Oregon.Â
The Wildcats totaled 51 points to claim second place for the second-straight year. Three Wildcats earned All-Big Sky honors. Billie Hatch finished second overall with a time of 16:32.5 on the 5K course. She was less than a second behind Taryn O'Neill of Northern Arizona who won the race at 16:31.6.Â
Summer Allen was right behind with a time of 16:33.0 to claim third place.Â
Rylie Lusk finished ninth overall to earn All-Big Sky honors. She posted a time of 16:50.9.Â
WSU's next runners were Cheyenne Leatham who was 18th at 17:11.3 and Bailey Wall who finished 19th with a time of 17:13.8.Â
Northern Arizona totaled 37 points to win the meet. Portland State was third with Idaho fourth and Southern Utah fifth.Â
The Wildcats will next compete at the NCAA Mountain Region Championships on November 12 in Provo, looking to qualify for the NCAA Championships.Â
