Women's Cross Country heads to NCAA Mountain Regionals

The Weber State women's cross country team is set to compete at the NCAA Mountain Region Championships in Salt Lake City, Utah on Friday. The 6k race will begin at 10:30 a.m. MT at the Regional Athletic Complex.
"We are excited and ready to compete at the Mountain Region Cross Country Championship," Head Coach Lindsey Anderson said. "We can't wait to mix it up with some of the nation's top teams in this competitive region."
The Wildcats will race against 18 other programs. Five of which are ranked in the National Coaches' Poll: No. 1 BYU, No. 8 New Mexico, No. 17 Colorado, No. 21 Northern Arizona and No. 22 Utah.

"This group has been so tough this year and we're looking forward to seeing what we can do on Friday," Anderson said.
The Wildcats placed 13th in the 2024 Mountain Regionals that took place in Reno, Nevada.Â
Weber State is coming off a second place finish at the Big Sky Championships. The Wildcats recorded 80 total team points in the podium finish. Hailey Day and Audrey Camp both received All-Conference Honors for finishing in the top 10.Â
Following the Mountain Regionals and if qualified, the Wildcats will look forward to the NCAA Championships which will be held November 22 in Columbia, Missouri.
