Wildcats Stumble Against 'Jacks On Friday Night

It took four games to happen, but for the first time this season the Wildcats have suffered a loss against a Big Sky foe.
On Friday night, the Wildcats ran into trouble against the Northern Arizona Lumberjacks who looked like they finally found their footing after a rough start to the year, the result brings the WSU's record to (6-6, 3-1) while NAU now sits at (4-10, 2-3).
NAU opened the match with high activity but eventually the 'Cats seemed to gradually match their pace, but eventually the Lumberjacks were able to grab ahold of the match and buried four goals.
Despite the deficit, Weber State kept their heads up and continued their fight which ultimately led to Morgan Furmaniak scoring her fifth goal of the season after Taylor Slack was fouled while in the box.
In the end, the Wildcats fell 4-1 but they'll have an opportunity to bounce back on Sunday when they battle (1-11-1, 0-4-1) Southern Utah at 1 P.M. in Cedar City.
