Wildcats move to 7-0 and open Big Sky play with win over NAU

OGDEN - Weber State never trailed and improved to 7-0 overall with a 67-44 win over Northern Arizona Thursday night at the Dee Events Center in the first Big Sky Conference game of the season.
At 7-0, Weber State is off to its best start since the 1985-86 season and is one of just 14 teams in the nation still undefeated.
Dillon Jones had his fifth double-double of the season to lead the Wildcats to the win.
How it happened
The Wildcats led 28-18 at halftime as the Lumberjacks had 17 first half turnovers.
NAU cut the lead to nine points with 12:09 to play before a 24-6 run over the next 11 minutes gave Weber State its largest lead at 27 points.
Numbers to know
Both teams struggled from the field as the Wildcats shot a season-low 34 percent and NAU was 33 percent. The Wildcats were just 4 of 26 from 3-point range.
The Lumberjacks committed 28 turnovers, which Weber State turned into 16 points.
Weber State had 16 steals on the night, which is tied for the fourth most in a game in Weber State history.
Dillon Jones had his fifth double-double of the season as he led the Wildcats with 18 points and 12 rebounds. He also tied his career-high with five steals and had two assists.
Freshman transfer Dyson Koehler had a career-high with 15 points and also grabbed six rebounds.
Koby McEwen added 13 points for the Wildcats.
