OGDEN - The running power couple continues to amaze. After both earning All-America honors in cross country two weeks ago, Summer and Christian Allen made more history Saturday at a meet in Boston.

Both Allen's set new Weber State school records in the first indoor track meet of the season, the Boston University Sharon Colyear-Danville season opener on Saturday.

Summer Allen posted a time of 15:56.45 in the 5,000 meters to set a new school record. She broke the old record set by WSU Hall of Famer and former Olympian Lindsey Anderson in 2007. The time is also the third fastest in Big Sky Conference history.

Her teammate Billie Hatch was right behind with a time of 15:57.85. That time would also have been a school record, but is now the second-fastest in school history and the fourth fastest in Big Sky history.

Christian Allen also set a Weber State record in the 5,000 meters as he posted a time of 13:36.50. That time broke the school record set by Seth Pilkington in 2006 by 15 seconds.

WSU's Tracen Warnick also competed in the meet in Boston. He posted a time of 8:26.36 in the 3,000 meters.
