Wildcats bounce back with 91-82 win at Montana

Five players scored in double figures as Weber State bounced back from a loss on Thursday and beat the Montana Grizzlies 91-82 Saturday afternoon in Missoula.Â

The Wildcats shot 62 percent from the field, including 66 percent in the second half.Â

The game saw 10 ties and 13 lead changes. Weber State led 62-60 with 8:26 to play when the 'Cats went on a 10-3 run and led by nine points with 5:33 to play. Montana cut the lead to four points with 46 seconds left but the Wildcats made five free throws in the final minute to hang on for the win. It was Weber State's first win in Missoula in over four years.Â

"Our guys were locked in today and ready to play and I was proud of their effort," said WSU head coach Randy Rahe. "I thought we played with a lot of poise down the stretch and made some free throws. They showed a lot of toughness in bouncing back from Thursday and handled adversity really well."

Senior Isiah Brown led Weber State with 21 points. He was 6 of 8 from the field, including 2 of 2 from 3-point range, and was a perfect 7 of 7 from the free throw line. It was the sixth time this season Brown has scored 20 or more points.Â

Seikou Sisoho Jawara added 14 points on 3 of 4 shooting and was 8 of 10 from the line, to go along with career-highs of seven assists and six rebounds.Â

Michal Kozak came off the bench with 13 points, as did Dillon Jones who also led the team with eight rebounds. Dontay Bassett also added 13 points.Â

The win moves Weber State to 12-5 overall and 7-3 in Big Sky play, currently tied for third in the league standings.Â
