Wildcats make 18 3-pointers and roll past NAU

OGDEN - Weber State knocked down 18 3-pointers and Isiah Brown had a career-high as the Wildcats rolled past Northern Arizona 92-59 Thursday night at the Dee Events Center.Â

The 18 3-pointers is the most ever by Weber State against a Division I opponent. WSU was 18 of 36 from the line and currently ranks second in the nation in 3-point shooting.Â

The Wildcats never trailed in the game and led 44-28 at halftime and led by as many as 34 points in the second half.Â
Â
For the game, WSU shot 56 percent from the field, the eighth time shooting 50 percent or better this season. Weber State also had 21 assists on the night, nine steals and outrebounded the Lumberjacks 32-25.Â

Brown finished with a career-high 31 points. He was 11 of 17 from the field, including 6 of 12 from 3-point range. He also dished out five assists, had three rebounds and two steals in the win. Brown has scored in double figures in all but one game this season and has now reached 20 or more points seven times.Â

Three other Wildcats also scored in double figures. Cody Carlson scored 14 points and grabbed 10 rebounds for his second double-double of the season. Michal Kozak added 12 points with four assists and Seikou Sisoho also had 12 points with four 3-pointers.Â

Dillon Jones started the game and finished with a career-high eight assists.Â

The 'Cats played without two starters as Dontay Bassett was out due to illness and Zahir Porter missed the game due to team rules.Â

The win moves Weber State to 13-5 overall and 8-3 in Big Sky play and the 'Cats have won six of their last seven games.Â
