Wildcats win third-straight game 72-52 over NAU

OGDEN - Five Wildcats scored in double figures as Weber State rolled to a 74-52 win over Northern Arizona Saturday afternoon at the Dee Events Center.Â

Weber State improved to 14-5 overall and 9-3 in Big Sky play. The Wildcats have won three-straight and seven of their last eight games.Â

The Wildcats never trailed for the second-straight game against the Lumberjacks. WSU jumped out to a 12-4 start. NAU made a run and cut it to 15-14, but the Wildcats closed the first half on a 7-0 run and led 32-23 at halftime.Â

The lead was never less than nine in the second half. WSU had a 16-2 run and took their largest lead of 28 points at 72-44 with 3:51 to play.Â

Isiah Brown led the way once again for Weber State, finishing with 15 points on 6 of 11 shooting. He also had four assists and two rebounds.Â

Zahir Porter came off the bench and scored 13 points on 5 of 8 shooting with three 3-pointers. Seikou Sisoho Jawara added 11 points and dished out six assists.Â

Cody Carlson had 10 points and grabbed eight rebounds and Dillon Jones filled the stat sheet with 10 points, eight rebounds and a career-high five steals.Â

Weber State shot 47 percent from the field and held the Lumberjacks to 41 percent shooting. WSU also outrebounded NAU 37-25 and the 'Cats knocked down eight 3-pointers.Â

Weber State has just four scheduled games remaining in the regular season. The Wildcats next hit the road for two games at Sacramento State on Thursday and Saturday.Â
