'Cats pick up 82-73 road win at Sacramento State

Four Wildcats scored in double figures as Weber State picked up an 82-73 road win at Sacramento State Thursday evening at the Nest.Â

The win moved Weber State to 15-5 overall and 10-3 in Big Sky play with three conference games left on the regular season schedule.Â
Â
Weber State shot 59 percent from the field, compared to 45 percent for the Wildcats. However, WSU was just 3 of 13 from 3-point range, the second fewest 3's made by the Wildcats this season.Â

WSU had 54 points in the paint, compared to 32 for the Hornets.Â

There were 10 lead changes throughout the game but the Wildcats made a run midway through the second half to break the game open. WSU took the lead for good at 58-57 with 9:54 to play and never trailed the rest of the way.Â

Seikou Sisoho Jawara led the way with 19 points on 8 of 12 shooting. Isiah Brown added 16 points and Michal Kozah had 12 points with five rebounds.Â

Freshman Dillon Jones had his first career double-double as he scored 11 points and grabbed a career-high 12 rebounds.Â

The same two teams will meet again on Saturday in Sacramento. Tipoff will be at 12 p.m. Mountain time. The game will be streamed on Pluto TV 1054 and on the radio on 103.1 FM "The Wave".Â
