Men's Tennis Drops Match To Northern Arizona
3/27/2021 3:17:00 PM | Men's Tennis
Flagstaff, AZ - The Weber State men's tennis team suffered a tough loss this Saturday morning against Northern Arizona, falling 6-1.Â
"It's not easy to play at this altitude and donate the doubles point and one of the singles points. It gets pretty demoralizing," said head coach Brad Ferreira.Â
"NAU is a good team. We needed to be playing well and with a full team to stand a chance."
The match started with a win from NAU for the doubles point. Wildcat duo Sebastian Buxman and Arthur Serafim were unable to secure the point in the No. 2 spot falling to their opponents. In the No. 3 spot, Michiel Van Schoor and Brendan Barr battled against the Sun Devils' Daniel Dillon and Maciej Ziomber but were unable to come away with the victory.Â
In singles play, NAU came away with five points in the No. 1, 3, 4, 5, and 6 spots.Â
Wildcat Sebastian Buxman was able to secure the sole point for Weber in the No. 2 spot against Facundo Tumosa, 6-4, 6-1.Â
The Weber State men's tennis team will travel to Bozeman, MO on March 29 to continue their 2021 season against Montana State.Â
