'Cats roll to a 41-3 win at Dixie State

Weber State scored 34 unanswered points and totaled 497 yards of offense.
How it happenedÂ
Dontae McMillan got the Wildcats started on the first drive of the game as he broke away for a 52-yard touchdown run, just 1:42 into the game to give WSU a 7-0 lead.Â
The Trailblazers responded with a quick field goal to make it 7-3 with 8:41 to play, but would not score again.Â
Following an interception by Marque Collins, the Wildcats closed the half with a 32-yard touchdown by Bronson Barron to Ty MacPherson with 17 seconds left to give WSU a 14-3 lead at halftime.Â
Early in the third quarter, WSU went on a 13-play, 80-yard drive that lasted 6:46. During the series, Barron went down with an injury and the 'Cats converted on a 25-yard fake punt, with a pass from Mackenzie Morgan to Doug Schiess. The drive ended with a three-yard touchdown by Kris Jackson to make it 20-3.
After a defensive stop, Weber State responded with a 6-play, 61-yard drive that ended with a five-yard touchdown run by Creyton Cooper to give the 'Cats a 27-3 lead with 2:38 to play in the third quarter.Â
The Wildcats added to their lead with another drive, capped by a two-yard touchdown run by freshman Damon Bankston to make it 34-3 with 9:53 to play.
After a Ja'Kobe Harris interception, Bankston scored again on a 21-yard touchdown run to give the 41-3 lead.Â

The Wildcats totaled 497 yards of offense, with 280 rushing yards, and held the Trailblazers to 253 total yards.Â
McMillan had 16 carries for a career-high 151 yards and one touchdown
Before leaving the game, Barron was 10 of 20 passing for 90 yards with one touchdown. Randall Johnson was 5 for 8 passing for 89 yards and Kylan Weisser was 2 of 3 for 13 yards.Â
Nine different Wildcats caught passes in the game with Justin Malone leading the way with three catches for 45 yards.Â
Defensively, the 'Cats had three sacks and two interceptions. George Tarlas had one sack and a forced fumble and led the Wildcats with 8 tackles. Jared Schiess and McKade Mitton each had a sack and Ja'Kobe Harris and Marque Collins recorded interceptions. The Wildcats had six tackles for loss on the night.Â
WSU played without Josh Davis and Ty Whitworth due to injuries.Â
The win is the 53rd career win for Jay Hill, which ties him with Dave Arslanian for the most in WSU history.Â
It 38-point win was also the largest margin of victory for the Wildcats since a 41-3 win over UC Davis in 2017.Â

After two games on the road, the Wildcats will finally play at Stewart Stadium and will open the home schedule with an FCS Top 10 showdown against James Madison, currently ranked third in the nation.
