Wildcats On The Road Tonight Against Oral Roberts

Tonight, the (2-4) Weber State Wildcats are back on the road where they'll tangle with the (3-4-1) Oral Roberts Golden Eagles. No surprise here but this will be the first-ever matchup between the two programs.

This is the fourth time this season that WSU has faced an unfamiliar foe with the first being the season-opening win over Kansas State and the latest being their 1-0 loss to UC Riverside.

Oral Roberts most recent result was a 2-1 loss to Tulsa, they do not share a common opponent with the Wildcats this season. 

WSU also comes into the match off a loss with their latest match being that first-ever battle against UCR.

This season, Weber State's goals have come off the legs of Morgan Furmaniak (2), Lauren McConnell (1), and Lily Webster (1). Furmaniak had one goal assisted by Amy Kenney, McConnell's was assisted by Brynlee Meyerhoffer and Webster's was assisted by Furmaniak. 

Head Coach Craig Sanders is now approaching his sixth game in his second season as the head of the Wildcats. Last spring he had a record of 4-3-3 in his inaugural season. 

Also taking the field for the Wildcats will be a handful of goal scorers from the previous season in Taylor Slack, Andelin Baldwin, Yira Yoggerst, Kinsley Napoli, Harlee Turnbow, and Hailey Price as they each found the back of the net once throughout the spring. 

Along with them are a couple of award winners from the previous season - Sadie Newsom was named to the Big Sky's All-Conference Second Team along with Price who was not only a second-teamer but also was the conference's newcomer of the year. 

After tonight's match, the Wildcats will have a quick turnaround as they play Oklahoma State on Sunday. OSU will their second match against a team from the Big 12 this season. 

Tonight's match will be streamed on ORU's Athletic Website and the stream will begin about an hour before kickoff, the game meanwhile is set to begin at 6 P.M. MT
