'Cats pick up road win 78-61 at Idaho State

Koby McEwen and Seikou Sisoho Jawara each had 23 points to lead Weber State.
POCATELLO - Four Wildcats scored in double figures as Weber State picked up a 78-61 road win at Idaho State Monday night at Reed Gym in Pocatello. The two teams will meet again Thursday night in Ogden.Â
The win moved Weber State to 12-5 overall and 5-1 in Big Sky play, on top of the league standings.Â
How it happenedÂ
The game saw eight ties and seven lead changes early on but the Wildcats were in control most of the second half.Â
The Wildcats took a 14-9 run early on after an 8-0 run. The Bengals came back and regained the lead at 20-18. Idaho State closed the first half on a 7-2 run to tie the game 30-30 at halftime.Â
Idaho State led before a 37-36 before a 17-2 run by the Wildcats over the next six minutes and led 53-39 with 10 minutes to play.Â
The Bengals were never closer than 11 points the rest of the way.Â
Numbers to know
Weber State shot 48 percent from the field and held Idaho State to 34 percent. The Wildcats knocked down nine 3-pointers and forced 17 ISU turnovers.Â
Koby McEwen had 23 points, his sixth game this season scoring 20 or more points. He was 5 of 8 from the field, including four 3-pointers and was 9 of 11 from the free throw line. He also had a season-high four steals and grabbed three rebounds.Â
Seikou Sisoho Jawara also had 23 points, which tied his season-high and tied his career-high with five 3-pointers.Â
Dontay Bassett started his second-straight game and had a season-high 14 points on 6 of 9 shooting and JJ Overton added 11 points. Dillon Jones had five points and grabbed a game-high 11 rebounds.Â
Weber State had 76 points from the five starters and had just two points off the bench.Â
