TACOMA, Wash. – The Weber State women's golf team came up one stroke shy in its bid for a second-consecutive tournament win on Tuesday as they wrapped up the Pat Lesser-Harbottle Invitational with a second place finish at the Tacoma Country & Golf Club.

The Wildcats got off to a slow start in Monday's opening round and sat near the bottom of the leaderboard before rallying to sixth place with a round of 9-over par 297. The rally continued in the afternoon round, and the 'Cats climbed into a tie for first place with Gonzaga at 4-over par after shooting a 5-under 283 for the best round of the tournament throughout the entire field.

On Tuesday, the Wildcats held a one-shot lead with just a few holes to play, but a late move by Gonzaga saw Weber State come up just short. The Wildcats shot a 5-over par 293 on the day to post a tournament total of 873, while the 'Zags posted a 4-over par final round and a tournament total of 872.

Aerin Song led Weber State, shooting a 2-under par total of 214 to finish in fourth place overall. Song opened her tournament on Monday with three birdies and a 1-under par 71 and followed that up with another pair of birdies in an even-par 72 in the afternoon. On Tuesday, she carded another three birdies and her second 1-under par 71 of the tournament.

Isabel Gutierrez joined Aerin Song in the top-10, finishing in a tie for 10th place at 2-over par 218. Gutierrez carded eight birdies for the event and shot rounds of 74, 71 and 73.

Sofia Fuenmayor shot rounds of 79, 70 and 73 to tie for 25th place, and carded nine birdies for the tournament, including five in her second round 2-under par 70.

Jessica Zelasko shot rounds of 75, 72 and 76 for a 7-over par 223 to tie for 29th place, while Emily Song shot a 9-over 225 behind rounds of 77, 70 and 78 to tie for 36th place.

Nevada's Victoria Gailey earned individual medalist honors after defeating Cal State Fullerton's Davina Xanh and Cal Baptist's Hailey Loh in a playoff after the trio tied atop the leaderboard after 54 holes at 3-under par 213.
