The Weber State Wildcat softball team is scheduled to start Big Sky Conference play with a three-game series against the Idaho State Bengals this weekend.

WEBER STATE (22-8)
  • The Wildcats hold a 24-16 lead over the Bengals in the overall series.
  • WSU has won 16 of its last 17 games against Idaho State and is currently on a three-game winning streak versus the Bengals.
  • At 22-8, the Wildcats are in the midst of their best start in program history.
  • For the first time since 2019 and only the second time in program history, Weber State has beaten three teams from power five conferences this season (Kansas, Texas A&M, Utah).
  • Weber State's win against Seattle earlier this season gave Mary Kay Amicone her 750th career win as a head coach.
Wildcat Pitching
  • The Weber State pitching staff leads the Big Sky with a 3.02 ERA.
  • Wildcat pitchers have surrendered less hits, runs, doubles, triples, and home runs than any other squad in the Big Sky Conference.
  • Opponents are hitting .242 against WSU pitching, the lowest opponent batting average in the conference.
  • Arissa Henderson's 1.84 ERA leads the team and ranks second in the Big Sky Conference.
  • Henderson's 88 strikeouts rank fourth best in the Big Sky, while Mariah Ramirez's 72 put her in sixth place.
  • The Wildcat defense has a .974 field percentage, second best in the conference and 24th best nationally.
Wildcat Offense
  • The Wildcats have the highest scoring offense in the conference and are averaging a league high of 5.2 runs per game.
  • With 28 home runs, the Cat bats have the second most in the Big Sky.
  • As a team, WSU is slugging .425 which is second best in the conference.
  • Faith Hoe leads the team with a .366 batting average, 34 hits, two triples, and a .430 OBP.
  • Chloe Camarero ranks in the top five in the Big Sky in runs scored (23), home runs (nine), and stolen bases (six).
  • Camarero's nine home runs this year have set a career high for most in a single season.
  • McKell McCuistion has hit two home runs in her last two games, and has a career high of six home runs this season.
  • Henderson has smacked three round trippers in her last four games played.
