Wildcat Volleyball Signs One More to 2022 Recruiting Class

OGDEN, Utah – The Weber State Wildcat volleyball team has announced the signing of Jayda Tupea, an outside hitter out Lone Peak High School in Highland, Utah.
Tupea, who plans on joining the team in the fall of 2022, is a versatile outside hitter who had a stellar prep career at Lone Peak and Club V. In 2021, Tupea was named the region MVP, the Utah Valley Player of the Year, and she was named to the 6A Second Team All-State. Perhaps the most important note on her volleyball resume, however, is the fact that she was a two-time state champion in 2020 and 2021.
Having played at Club V, Tupea already has some familiarity with her future Wildcat teammates. She played on the same teams as Wildcat signees Saane Katoa and Brielle
Rueckert, and will rejoin her club teammates in Ogden this fall.
Regarding the addition of Tupea to his team, Jeremiah Larsen said, "Jayda is an extremely competitive and motivated volleyball player. She has the work ethic and heart that we look for at Weber. She will help us maintain a high level of play as we work to compete against the best teams in the country."
