SPOKANE, Wash. – The Weber State women's golf team and Isabel Gutierrez each posted runner-up finishes on Tuesday as the Eagle Invitational wrapped up at Indian Canyon Golf Course.
As a team, the Wildcats shot rounds of 292, 286 and 299 for a 25-over par total of 877, finishing five shots behind tournament champion Idaho. Meanwhile on the individual leaderboard, WSU's Isabel Gutierrez shot rounds of 71, 68 and 77 for a 3-over par 216 to finish second overall as Idaho's Yvonne Vinceri shot a total of 209 for individual medalist honors.
Weber State placed three players inside the top 10 as Emily Song tied for 5th place and Cala Korman tied for seventh. Song shot rounds of 75, 71 and 74 for a 7-over par total of 220, while Korman shot a 9-over par total of 222 behind rounds of 72, 78 and 72.
Jessica Zelasko shot rounds of 74, 74 and 76 to tie for 14th place at 11-over par 224, while Sofia Fuenmayor shot rounds of 75, 73 and 79 for a 14-over par 227 to tie for 27th.
Playing as an individual for Weber State, Jade Gruher tied for 38th place with a total of 230 behind rounds of 79, 79 and 72.
