Wildcats fall 27-10 to NAU

Weber State back home to host UC Davis for Homecoming next Saturday.
OGDEN - Weber State dropped its second Big Sky game, falling 27-10 to Northern Arizona Saturday night at Stewart Stadium.
The Lumberjacks finished with 321 yards, held the Wildcats to 180 yards, and had just 100 yards of offense in the final three quarters. The 'Cats had 119 yards passing and 61 yards rushing.
Weber State scored first with a 13-play, 73-yard drive, capped by a 1-yard touchdown run by Kylan Weisser to make it 7-0 with 4:56 to play in the first quarter.
The Lumberjacks scored on a 56-yard drive but missed the extra point to make it 7-6 with 14:09 to play in the second quarter.
NAU then scored on an 85-yard punt return touchdown by Coleman Owen to give the Lumberjacks a 13-7 lead with 11:13 to play in the first half.
Kyle Thompson made a career-long 52-yard field goal to make it 13-10 with 7:02 to play in the second quarter but the Wildcats would not score again.
On the next possession, NAU scored on a 12-play, 75-yard drive and led 20-10 at halftime.
Neither team scored in the third quarter and the Lumberjacks added a 16-yard touchdown run with 2:35 to play in the fourth quarter to seal the win.
Wildcat senior Winston Reid had a career-high 16 tackles on the night. He had 10 solo tackles and six assisted tackles and also had two tackles for loss.
Keahnist Thompson had two sacks for a loss of 18 yards. Brayden Wilson also had two tackles for loss and Naseme Colvin added 13 total tackles.
Offensively, Kylan Weisser was 19 of 30 passing for 119 yards. Haze Hadley had six receptions for 43 yards and Jacob Sharp had four catches for 25 yards.
Adrian Cormier had seven carries for 30 yards and Kris Jackson had six carries for 25 yards. The 'Cats played without Damon Bankston who missed the game with a foot injury.
