Four Top-20's Lead Wildcats to Bobcat Desert Classic Third Place

GOODYEAR, Ariz. – Four Wildcats finished in the top-20 at the Bobcat Desert Classic to lead the Weber State women's golf team to a third place finish at the Golf Club of Estrella on Tuesday.
Aerin Song topped the Wildcats' top-20 foursome, posting rounds of 74, 73 and 74 for a 5-over par total of 221 to tie for sixth place overall.
Sofia Fuenmayor and Emily Song each posted 9-over par totals of 225 to tie for 16th place. Fuenmayor shot rounds of 78 and 75 ahead of an even-par 72 final round, while Song shot 73, 74 and 78.
Jessica Zelasko earned the fourth top-20 finish among the group, tying for 20th overall at 10-over par 226 on rounds of 74, 76 and 76.
Isabel Gutierrez rounded out the Wildcat scoring team with a total of 237 to tie for 46th place, and Rachel Lillywhite finished 55th at 245 while playing as an individual for Weber State.
As a team, WSU posted rounds of 299, 298 and 294 for a tournament total of 891. Grand Canyon won the team title, shooting a 1-under par total of 863. Idaho finished second at 880.
Constanza Guerrero led Grand Canyon, shooting rounds of 66, 71 and 71 for an 8-under par total of 208 for individual medalist honors. Idaho's Vicky Tsai finished second at 1-under par 215.
The Wildcats will wrap up their spring schedule with the Big Sky Conference Chamipionships, which will be held April 17-19 at Talking Stick Golf Club in Scottsdale, Ariz.
