Wildcat Soccer hosts UNLV

Wildcat soccer is back in Ogden and ready to host the UNLV Rebels at Wildcat Soccer Field on Aug 31 at 1 p.m. MT.

The 0-4 Wildcats are searching for their first win of the season, most recently falling to the Washington State Cougars 1-3 on Aug 27.

The Rebels were just handed a loss by another Big Sky Conference team, the University of Idaho Vandals, with a late goal in the second half of their match on Aug. 27.

The 'Cats and Rebels are familiar foes, playing a total of five matches against one another, the Rebels leading the series 4-1.

While the 'Cats are 0-4 on the road against UNLV, their lone win against the Rebels was in Ogden in 1998.

The most recent match against the two squads was in 2021, when the Wildcats lost 1-2 in Las Vegas.

There are three 'Cats that have had luck with finding the back of the net, Mikayla Topaum kicked the season off with a goal against Utah State, Sayler Schlosser was next with two goals against Gonzaga and Grace Kirby most recently scored the 'Cats goal against Washington State.

This week's match will be streamed on ESPN+.

Following this match the 'Cats will head to Illinois to play against Northwestern on Sept. 7.
